What exactly does the managed service include? +
Our managed cafeteria service covers everything โ€” we source and audit vendors, deploy an on-site operations supervisor, run daily food quality checks, manage menu planning and nutrition, deploy the Epicenter digital platform, and provide monthly performance reports. You get one point of contact and zero daily management overhead. Think of us as your outsourced cafeteria team.
How long does it take to get started? +
From signed agreement to a live cafeteria typically takes 4โ€“6 weeks. This includes platform setup and QR deployment (week 1), vendor onboarding and ERP training (weeks 2โ€“3), admin and operations team training (week 4), and employee go-live with on-site support (week 5โ€“6). We handle the heavy lifting โ€” you just communicate the rollout to your employees.
Do you bring your own vendors or work with ours? +
Both, depending on your situation. If you have existing vendors you're happy with, we can onboard them to our platform and manage the relationship going forward. If you need new vendors, we handle sourcing, evaluation, trial tastings, and hygiene audits. In either case, vendor quality and accountability runs through our system from day one.
What size companies do you work with? +
Our managed service is best suited for offices with 200+ employees where the cafeteria complexity justifies dedicated operations staff. For smaller teams (under 200), our Platform-only option is usually a better fit โ€” it gives you the digital infrastructure without the managed services overhead. That said, we evaluate each situation individually โ€” reach out and we'll tell you what makes sense for your setup.
Can we add or remove service components over time? +
Yes. The platform is always included. Managed service components โ€” operations supervisor, food quality controller, manpower, nutrition consultation, events management โ€” can be added or removed based on your evolving needs. Most clients start with the platform and a QC controller, then expand as they see the value.
What does the on-site operations supervisor actually do? +
Our operations supervisor is a trained Sprink employee deployed full-time at your cafeteria. They manage daily operations โ€” vendor adherence to schedule, queue management, employee support, escalation of issues to vendor management, and ensuring the cafeteria runs smoothly during peak hours. They're also your escalation point for anything that goes wrong.
What's included in the monthly reporting? +
You receive a monthly insights report covering: order volume and revenue trends, vendor performance scores (built from real feedback data), food quality audit results, employee satisfaction trends, peak usage patterns, and recommendations for the next month. We also hold a monthly review call with your admin team to walk through the data and plan ahead.
What does the Epicenter platform include? +
Epicenter is our cafeteria management SaaS platform with 13 modules covering: QR-based employee ordering (no app download), wallet payments (UPI, card, Sodexo), counter-based ordering fallback for walk-ins, vendor fulfilment dashboard, vendor ERP (recipes, procurement, packaging), real-time admin analytics dashboard, built-in feedback and rating engine, multi-location support, and finance export for clean billing closure. Do employees need to download an app? +
No. Employees scan a QR code at the cafeteria or open a link โ€” the ordering interface works entirely in the phone browser. No app download, no account creation friction. For employees who don't use their phones at lunch, billing staff can place orders at the counter โ€” all flowing into the same system.
What payment methods are supported? +
UPI, debit/credit card, net banking, Sodexo, and the Sprink cafeteria wallet (pre-loaded by employees for faster checkout). Payments are processed via Razorpay (PCI-DSS compliant). The wallet system eliminates the "payment failed but money debited" issue that affects real-time payment modes during peak hours.
Does it work for multiple cafeterias or locations? +
Yes. Epicenter is built for multi-location operations from the ground up. Each cafeteria has its own vendor dashboard and QR setup, while administrators get a unified view across all locations. Role-based access means each location's staff only sees what they need to. You can add locations without process rework.
Can we use the platform with our existing vendors? +
Absolutely. The platform-only option is designed for exactly this situation โ€” you keep your vendors, we give you the digital infrastructure. We onboard your vendors to the system, train them on the vendor dashboard and ERP, and from that point forward all orders, feedback, and billing flows through Epicenter.
How does the feedback system work? +
After every order, employees get a one-tap rating prompt. Positive ratings are logged to vendor scorecards. Negative ratings prompt a short optional comment. All feedback is visible in the admin dashboard in real time, attributed to the specific vendor and dish. This gives administrators the data-backed accountability that currently doesn't exist in most cafeterias.
What hardware do we need? +
Minimal. You need QR codes at the cafeteria (we supply these), and optionally a POS terminal for counter-based ordering. We also offer a token display system that shows customers their order status without needing to check their phone. Both the POS and display system are optional and available on purchase or monthly rental.
What is the Sprink meal subscription? +
Sprink's meal subscription delivers freshly cooked, hygienic daily meals to homes and PGs across Bangalore. You subscribe to a plan, food is cooked fresh each day and delivered to your door at a pre-set time โ€” no tracking required. No artificial preservatives. No delivery charges. Cuisine variety includes South Indian, North Indian, Healthy, and Salad menus.
What are the delivery timings? +
Meals are delivered at pre-defined time slots depending on your plan โ€” breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You'll know exactly when to expect your food each day. Can I try before subscribing? +
Yes โ€” we offer trial meals so you can experience the food quality before committing to a subscription. Visit sprink.online to check current trial options in your area.
What's your refund and cancellation policy for meal subscriptions? +
Once a payment for a subscription plan is processed and completed online, no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations are applicable. If you need to pause or make changes to your subscription, please contact us at contact@sprink.online before your next billing cycle and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
How do you ensure food safety and hygiene? +
We follow WHO food safety regulations and layer additional protocols โ€” staff fitness checks, regular kitchen sanitisation, food quality checks before packaging, and dispatch integrity verification. All ingredients are sourced fresh daily. We never use artificial preservatives or additives. Our kitchen operations are designed for consistent quality at scale, not corner-cutting.
Is there a delivery charge? +
No delivery charges. The price you see for your subscription plan is all-inclusive. This is possible because we run a subscription model with predictable delivery windows โ€” unlike on-demand delivery which carries significant logistics overhead.
What payment methods are accepted for meal subscriptions? +
We accept UPI, debit/credit cards, and net banking. Payments are processed via our secure payment gateway. Once a payment is validated, you'll receive a confirmation. If a payment fails, your order will not be confirmed โ€” we'll notify you by email.
What does the campus solution include? +
Our campus solution is purpose-built for schools, colleges, and hostels running large-scale mess operations. It includes student meal tracking, warden and admin dashboards, caterer performance scoring, automated mess billing, dietary preference management, and integration with student ID systems. Everything that makes running a campus kitchen transparent and manageable.
Can students pre-order meals or opt out on specific days? +
Yes. Students can view the weekly menu, pre-order specific meals, and mark themselves as absent for a meal โ€” which updates the kitchen's preparation count in real time. This reduces food waste significantly and gives caterers accurate numbers before cooking begins.
How does billing work for campus clients? +
Billing can be structured by semester, month, or per-meal โ€” whatever fits your institution's model. The system tracks every meal consumed and generates clean reports for your accounts team. Parents can also receive meal consumption summaries if required. We accommodate both pre-paid and post-paid billing models.
Do you manage caterers for campuses, or just the software? +
Both options are available. If you have an existing mess contractor, we integrate them into our platform and manage accountability through scorecards and audits. If you need a new caterer, we can source and manage the relationship. Our campus managed service mirrors the corporate managed service model โ€” adapted to the specific needs of educational institutions.
Where does Sprink currently operate? +
Our primary operations are in Bangalore. Our SaaS platform (Epicenter) can be deployed anywhere in India. For managed service and meal subscription, availability varies by location โ€” contact us to check availability in your city.
